Should you decide to link your Slack instance to the application, then a one time setup per user will need to happen to ensure that Jira can communicate with Slack. This will involve using a personal access token to setup the initial link for the user. This information is not stored and is discarded as soon as the link is complete. Furthermore, personal access tokens may be timebombed to ensure security is preserved.
